Armor Strength

Protection comes in various forms, to the small (a foam fire extinguisher mounted under the back plates) to the more complex, such as an series of anti-magnetic fields that allow Iron Man to attract and repel items as large as an armored truck.
The suit itself is made up of at base finely tesselated mail magnetically sealing in the user; the mail minimizes sudden compressions, such as a physical blow, by radically dissipating the energy throughout the suit. Over this is a series of titanium plates over the head, chest, back shoulder, wrist and forearm, thigh, knee and shin that withstand 10 tons of pressure per square inch without any enhancements from the armors' systems.
