Sailor Sweet Card

Suit: Hearts. She makes candy and cakes. If that's not in the White Mage/Kindness category, what is?

Henshin Item: Her card is, of course, The Sweet Card. Her key is a ring she always wears on her left hand, where a wedding band would go. It's a simple smooth band, enameled with red and white stripes, like a candy cane. A present from Kelly, the tender feelings in it made it the perfect item to be enchanted as the connector between the human girl and the magical Card.

Henshin Phrase: Sweet Card Power! Release!"

Henshin Sequence: Pulling out her card, she calls out "Sweet Card Power! Release! And then licks her ring. In addition to being minty fresh, this begins the henshin as the candy-stripes of the ring begin to pulse and then explode outward, forming a loose cyclone of red and white around her. The background ripples darkly but glossily, like molten chocolate, and a trio of sugarplum fairies (which look like 8" versions of the Sweet Card with gingerbread wings) descend and circle about her, waving their wands to shower her with candy. One rains down sourballs, lollipops, and other hard candy, which collects in the white bands of the cyclone, adding a sugar-packed rainbow of color to it. The second swirls her wand to conjure up taffies, gumdrops, caramels, and other soft candy which are pulled into and stretched around by the red swirls. The third creates a snowfall of the flavored sugar powder found in Pixie Stix, in a pastel rainbow of flavors, that falls upon her and coats her. This powder removes her clothes where it hits, but those naked parts are all sugar-sparkly in the fine tradition of henshin "energy forms", so no naughty-bits are exposed. When she is fully coated, the chocolate behind her crashes down like a wave over her and the cyclone, leaving her clothed in her fuku in its wake. Her "battle stance" is a loose, casual pose with her weapon in her left hand, but not at ready, and her eyes wide and blinking. Not exactly the best position for entering a battle.

Fuku: An Apron. No, the apron is not the sum total of her fuku, but it's easily the most outstanding feature of it. Her Sailor Collar (tm) is replaced by a Sailor Apron (tm), white with pink ruffles around its edge. The pink ruffle has a line of white a small ways into it, so it effectively goes white material to pink line to white line to pink ruffle, giving the requisite pinstripe effect. The apron has a slightly daring heart shaped cutout to the front, and the sash/belt is adorned with pink hearts, as are the big pockets below the sash. The apron descends to just below her knees. White cloth with a pink stripe comes out from under the neckstrap, in a wedge similar to a normal Sailor Collar, and ends in a huge puff of pink fabric on her shoulders.

Similar but smaller puffs adorn her wrists, adding a splash of pink to long gloves, white with that slight granular sparkle of sugar-glaze, that start midway between shoulder and elbow and end in a triangle of cloth that extends along the back of her hand from wrist to the base of her middle finger, where it catches to a candystripe ring. Like her Apron, the cloth triangles have a heart-shaped cut-out on them (Yes, this is a different finger than the one she wears the ring on, normally. It changes position in henshin. The rings still serve as the Henshin item, so damage to either can cause her to de-henshin.)

Her boots are pink, glossy, and fairly short, with the white powder-puff cuff/adornment starting barely inches above the ankle.

Pink is also the color-de-jour of her skirt, which is crisply pleated and VERY short, virtually ensuring fan-service panty-shots in every episode in fine anime tradition. She's fine if she stands straight, because the folds go slightly past the curve of her bottom, but action is virtually guaranteed to be drafty.

Her Tiara is the standard model for the Heart suit.

Weapon: Super-Sugar-Sweetness-Smackdown-Stick - Also called her SSSSStick (hold the S like a snake), it's a pink and white candy-cane quarterstaff slightly taller than she is. She's not particularly strong or skilled with the weapon, so it's not that impressive, more like a big club. What IS impressive about it is that it can turn anything that it hits into sweets. Small objects are transformed entirely, but it's only able to get part of a large object at a time. A fire-hydrant could be made into rock-candy (which means a lot of sugar-water pouring out soon) but if she were to strike a car, she might transform (depending on where she struck) a tire to taffy or the hood to pudding. Living things are not affected at all by this power, though their clothes could be, and this power normally wears off when she de-henshins unless either she applies extra energy to make it permanent, the object is eaten while transformed, or it's dispersed while transformed. A safe wall turned to gingerbread and eaten through would become steel again when she changed back, as would any pieces of gingerbread on the floor, but the gingerbread in people's stomachs would stay gingerbread. Likewise the fire hydrant mentioned above, if dissolved by the water, would just stay as sugar, as would something destroyed by turning it into raw sugar and letting it blow away.

The energy cost for this is surprisingly mild, as it requires physical contact by her weapon and the weapon provides the majority of the power, so she can use it many times in the course of an adventure, as long as they are not all in quick succession. Similar to her metabolism for physical activity, she has staying power, but heavy activity all at once or sprints can tire her out. If she makes a transformation permanent, that is a bit more energy intensive, and she becomes winded if she does it twice in succession. If she's already winded, she becomes exhausted, and if exhausted, she collapses. The attack can be resisted by not being touched. Dodging will work, as will any sort of barrier that prevents contact, such as a force field. She has not yet learned that, by a MAJOR expenditure of energy, (to exhausted, or to collapsed if she was already winded) she can transmute an energy field as well. Imagine the look on someone's face when their Force Dome becomes sugar glass.

Power: Sugar Plum Fairy Hyper Hyper Pixie Bomb Shock - As she calls out the name of this attack, a large (1.5") sourball of a random translucent color coalesces in her hand, with a small cloud of sugar motes dancing around it. She then throws the candy, usually underhand but that's more habit than requirement. The candy bomb can be charged one of two ways. Charged hostilely, it causes a relatively small amount of damage, like small explosion, plus causes a depletion of energy in the target similar to a nasty sugar crash, which can hinder them in using attacks with energy costs, as well as slow them down a little. Charged beneficially, this causes a small amount of healing and gives the target a burst of energy for a short while. When that energy wears out, though, they suffer a more mild version of the sugar crash. She determines which version she's creating when she creates the candy-bomb, so it's possible to hit the wrong target and aid an enemy or hurt an ally. As such, she usually tries to get close and touch her target with the healing version.

The burst radius for the explosion is about 4", so it's possible to intercept the bomb with an object and take no damage oneself. Likewise, most energy barriers are easily strong enough to withstand the damage without flickering. Additionally, it is dodgeable. The power is mildly draining, but not excessively so, so she can use it a number of times before collapse, although once again quick usage will drain her faster. She is capable of being harmed by her own attack, but if she tries to heal herself it is very draining.
